Ontario e-Laws, Government of Ontario

Maintains the text in force

Ontario's consolidated statutes and regulations, each at a stable numeric address. Source law under the Legislation Act, 2006 when it carries the official statement, and the only place the province's driver licensing regulations are published in full.

Maintains the current text of the law as amended, so you can read a provision as it stands today rather than reconstructing it from amendments.

Cannot be cited for

Ontario is one province of ten and three territories, and nothing here speaks for the others: a licence that exchanges in Ontario may not elsewhere in Canada. The licensing regulations also name some jurisdictions and leave the rest to reciprocal exchange agreements with Ontario, which the regulations do not reproduce and e-Laws does not publish. The site refuses a direct request and is read through the extraction service.
